Who We Are
Hello. We're Lily and Hayden Greener, professional photographers, content creators, and influencers who live on a sailing boat.
Our Roots and Inspiration
We were born and raised in the Whitsundays, surrounded by over 74 stunning islands, in families who loved boating and the ocean. Our dream of living on a sailboat originated with Hayden. Before we met, he envisioned sailing to surf spots like the Mentawais. When Lily heard the idea, she loved it immediately, and together, we turned our dream into reality.
The Beginning of Our Sailing Journey
After a few years of road trips and saving up, we found our dream sailboat and moved onto the ocean. With no actual sailing experience (we had only been on power boats), we set sail to explore tropical paradises, hoping to find remote waves and continue our explorations into more isolated areas aboard our sailboat. Our big dream of living on a sailboat had begun!
Our Creative Backgrounds
Before diving into photography and content creation, we had enjoyed different creative pursuits. Hayden, originally a carpenter by trade, crafted beautiful furniture. Lily, on the other hand, was a dancer. Reflecting on our journey, Hayden's craftsmanship as a carpenter seamlessly transitioned into a keen eye for composition and detail behind the camera. Lily's background in dance infused our visual storytelling with a unique perspective, blending movement and aesthetics into our work, capturing natural models and subjects authentically.
Professional Journey and Collaborations
With over five years of experience as professional photographers and content creators, we have honed our craft to capture breathtaking moments that inspire and resonate with audiences worldwide. And the best part? We absolutely love what we do.
Recognized for our specialty in travel and tourism, we've partnered with Tourism Queensland, Tourism Tropical North Queensland, Port Douglas and Daintree, Tourism Whitsundays, Hamilton Island, Lizard Island, Baillie Lodges, Silky Oaks Lodge, and others. Our natural, outdoor-focused style has also attracted clients beyond the tourism industry, including lifestyle shoots for BCF, Fliteboard, Costa, Ryobi, Sperry, Vivo Barefoot, and more. Our work has been featured by Virgin Australia and Beautiful Destinations, among others. Additionally, we edit short-form content for popular YouTubers, including Strick and Fran from Back2Basics Castaways.
Commitment to Sustainability
We actively support sustainability through initiatives like beach clean-ups and citizen science projects, which include photographing and documenting coral colour and health and observing species such as sharks, turtles, predatory fish, crown of thorns, and nudibranchs.
Looking Ahead: Future Plans
Looking ahead, we are excited to expand internationally, capturing the essence of diverse cultures and landscapes. Our focus will still be on island adventures and nature, and we also plan to sail to remote places to document them. Our future plans include upgrading our gear to better capture nature's intricate beauty. Specifically, we aim to document wildlife interactions and natural phenomena with greater detail and clarity. We aim to enhance our ability to capture nature's beauty and share it with the world through longer-form documentaries.
